Tangalooma is on beautiful Moreton Island, 45 minutes from Brisbane city.

Moreton Island is a sand island and National Park, believed to be the tallest sand island in the world, situated right on our doorstep at Brisbane.


How to get here...

The Tangalooma Resort ferries leave the Brisbane River from Holt Street Wharf, Brisbane, three times a day. Departure times can be obtained by calling 1300 652 250 or visiting www.tangalooma.com.

The MiCat is a state of the art passenger and vehicle ferry leaving the Port of Brisbane daily and landing at the Tangalooma Wrecks. Check departure times by calling (07) 3909 3333 or visiting www.micat.com.au.

Only 4WD vehicles are able to travel on Moreton Island, as there are only designated sand tracks and beach roads to travel on. Normal Queensland Road rules apply.

Vehicles must have a National Parks permit to go on to the island. Permits may be obtained when booking on the MiCat.
